Slow Cooker Cream Cheese Crack Chicken

I finally got to try this Slow Cooker Crack Chicken recipe. My neighbor told me about this crack chicken, even though she makes her own in her instant pot. This recipe was created by Shelly from the Cookies and Cups website; you can see her recipe here. I’m very happy to have tried this recipe, the flavours go so well together and marry very well with white rice, which removes a bit of salt.

Slow Cooker Chicken is an easy recipe that’s so good you’ll be addicted to it! Ten minutes of prep time with ingredients you probably already have and endless meal possibilities. Crack Chicken is the name of the combination of chicken, cream cheese, ranch seasoning and bacon. (For those of you who want to blame me for calling it “crack”, when I titled this recipe, I didn’t even think about the drug. I only thought of the combination of ingredients that is known around the world as “crack chicken.” I didn’t mean to offend anyone).

Ingredients

  • 3 chicken breasts
  • 2 (8 oz.) packages cream cheese
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 8 slices cheddar cheese

How To Make Slow Cooker Cream Cheese Crack Chicken

  • Add the chicken, cream cheese, ranch seasoning, shredded cheddar cheese, and garlic powder to a slow cooker and cook on high for 3-4 hours.
  • Toast the hoagie rolls, scoop on the chicken, and top with a cheddar slice and crumbled bacon. More than enough for 8 hoagie rolls!
